Source Selection List

The source selection list is used to choose which track list is displayed in the track list area. There are several types of source icons that can be displayed in the source selection list:

The iTunes icon represents the iTunes library on the local computer. The label to the right of the icon is the name which will be displayed on other Syncopation instances to identify this tune library. The label can be changed on the Syncopation preferences screen.
The lit laptop icon represents an iTunes library on a remote computer which is registered as a synchronization source and is running the Syncopation application.
The darkened laptop icon represents a registered iTunes library which is not currently running the Syncopation application. Offline sources are only displayed when the "Show offline sources" option in the view menu is selected.
The playlist icon represents an iTunes playlist on a local or remote computer. Local playlists can be dragged to remote computers to copy the entire playlist to another machine. Remote playlists can be dragged to the local computer to transfer the playlist onto your own computer. You cannot copy a playlist from one remote computer to a different remote computer. See the playlist support section for more information on how playists are handled.
The network icon represents a Syncopation instance on the network which is not registered as a synchronization source with this computer. Click the subscribe button in the main window to link the two computers together so that they may synchronize tracks.
The waste basket icon represents the trash folder where tracks that have been removed from the iTunes library are kept until the trash has been emptied.
