You can use Syncopation to synchronize your iTunes music collection with the libraries on other subscribed sources.
- Begin synchronizing by clicking the Sync button in the toolbar or selecting the Synchronize Now selection from the Library menu.
- Review the proposed changes in the preview panel so that you are aware of what changes Syncopation will perform on your iTunes music library. You can use the preview panel to enable or disable each proposed change. Click the OK button when you have finished reviewing the changes.
- The Transfers Window will show the progress of the synchronization operation.
When you click the Sync button, Syncopation will attempt to synchronize with any remote libraries which are online at the time.
In order to synchronize successfully with a remote computer, the computer must be a subscribed source, the Syncopation application must be running on the remote computer, and the computer must be connected to the network (either physically or through an active AirPort connection).
Other options for controlling Synchronization
- Once you are comfortable letting Syncopation work on its own without first reviewing the changes, you can enable automatic synchronization. See Setting Preferences for more information.
- You may want to Block or Pin certain tracks in your library to prevent Syncopation from transferring them. See Blocking and Pinning tracks for more information.
- You can specify a subset of your Playlists to use to synchronization
- If you have a single computer which is your household media server, you can use the Master Library synchronization mode to set up one-way synchronization from the Master Library to your other computers.
- If you want to set Syncopation back to a clean state, you can reset the synchronization history.
